The main goal of our research lies in the development of new spectroscopic tools in the time domain for unravelling molecular chemical dynamics, i.e., rotations, vibrations and electron or proton transfer processes. We utilize ultrashort laser pulses (ca. 150 femtoseconds pulsewidth) in different variations of the so-called pump-probe scheme. For detection we employ laser-induced fluorescence, photoionization in combination with mass spectrometry and non-linear optical methods (degenerate four-wave mixing).
