Welcome to the 18th Ferrocene Colloquium

The 18th Ferrocene Colloquium will be held from March 22 to 24, 2020, at the University of Kaiserslautern. Initial nucleus of the Ferrocene Colloquium was a group of researchers with a genuine interest in the field of Ferrocene-related chemistry, who founded the Ferrocene Colloquium as a scientific exchange platform. Being held every year since the very first occasion in Kassel 2003, it has developed into a well-established European forum for organometallic chemistry in general, highlighting basic research as well as applications in catalysis, material science, and more applications of metallocene derivatives and other organometallic compounds. Potential topics range from synthesis, chemical properties and reactivity of new compounds, their use from catalysis, electrochemistry, photochemistry, and materials science to applications in medicine. The Colloquium will be jointly organized by the Chemistry Department of the TU of Kaiserslautern and the 3MET Collaboration Research Centre (SFB/TRR 88) of the TU Kaiserslautern and the TU Karlsruhe.

The following keynote lecturers have accepted our invitation:

Prof. Dr. Reiner Anwander, Universität Tübingen

Prof. Dr. Sjoerd Harder, Universität Erlangen

Prof. Dr. Rhett Kempe, Universität Bayreuth

Dr. André Schäfer, Universität des Saarlandes

Prof. Dr. Matthias Tamm, Technische Universität Braunschweig

Prof. Dr. K.-H. Theopold, University of Delaware
